Project N95 is looking for a Director of Operations that biases towards action and understands how to unlock, enable, and accelerate others, leading by example. This role will coordinate and manage the essential activities of Project N95, making strategic decisions to ensure all organization functions are at their most productive.

The ideal candidate will advise on projects and will act as the main organizer and planner of Internal initiatives, attending to details while staying attuned to the macro vision. You must be a creative and results-driven thinker, an excellent problem solver and possess highly attuned interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and act as the central contact for all org-wide communications.

As Director of Operations, you will report directly to the Executive Director, and communicate with other senior leadership to improve the internal functions and processes of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overseeing the Operations and Volunteer Teams providing direction, coordination, and consultation for staff & volunteers to develop and support operations across the entire organization
  • Execute, inform, advise, and develop key leadership objectives, priorities and strategy
  • Organize and coordinate Project N95 staff & volunteer functions and activities, including strategic initiatives and team building activities
  • Responsible for overall internal communication, meeting with leadership, keeping up to date on current company climate (employee & volunteer well-being, project statuses, etc.)
  • Coordinate business-wide procedures and work to improve existing processes for maximum clarity, efficiency, and success
  • Survey staff (senior level and volunteers) regularly to assess needs for additional staff resources
  • Recommendations on the most effective positioning of staff and foresee future workforce needs
  • Evaluate all aspects of volunteer & staff programs to ensure effectiveness and to recommend/implement changes as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate volunteer & staff records and provide timely statistical and activity reports on volunteer & staff participation, effectiveness, and performance
  • Sets priorities of, and assigns key action items of the Operations and IT Team and the HR and Volunteer Management Team to recruit and place applicants for key positions across the org as needed
Qualifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications
  • Experience in consulting and operations, with superior problem solving skills with impeccable time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal ability and productive collaboration across departments to successfully manage, organize, lead and direct large teams of people
  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient with a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Expertise in setting up automated processes to increase the effectiveness of multiple teams
  • Highest level of integrity with the ability to effectively deal with sensitive information and high pressure situations
  • Highly experienced with project coordinating and management
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; other applicable graduate degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership/management role
  • Have work experience in managing large teams, and/or in operations of volunteer programs
  • Knowledge of management principles and evaluation techniques related to programs involving staff/volunteers
