Director of Sourcing

Project N95 is looking for a Director of Sourcing that biases towards action and understands how to unlock, enable, and accelerate others, leading by example. This role will be responsible for supervision of the Sourcing Team.

As our mission is focused on supporting frontline organizations and ensuring their health and safety, a successful Sourcing Team will be detail oriented, driven, and ambitious to solve big problems tactically.

The Director of Sourcing will be reporting directly to the Executive Director and working closely with the senior level leadership. You will also work closely across all functional teams as the organization continues to rapidly iterate on our ability to execute our mission through strategically executed procurement best practices to drive transparency and stability.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate strategic sourcing plans, strategies and schedules and ensure initiatives are led to completion
  • Develop new suppliers for incorporation into existing database including new and existing products
  • Manage sourcing projects, prioritizing sourcing workload and delegating tasks to ensure that projects are performed efficiently and timely
  • Work with and/or lead cross-functional teams, notably with Product Leads and present ongoing Supplier Vetting status to Executive Director and senior leadership
  • Create infrastructure (utilizing teams as well as technology) to constantly improve and optimize the performance of the sourcing workflow
  • Work with the Director of Operations on internal communication and staff planning
  • Provide reporting on Sourcing OKRs, sourcing activities, and projected changes in direction as needed
  • Report on current team climate (culture, project statuses, new proposals, etc.)
Qualifications
  • Experience in medical device and/or healthcare product industry strongly preferred
  • Have job-related experience, such as working with, managing large groups, including volunteers
  • Experience in developing and implementing global sourcing or procurement processes
  • Understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and other regulatory requirements
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, reputed, company
  • Proven creative thinker with strong business acuity
  • Strong interpersonal skills and productive collaboration across varying departments
  • Able to successfully manage, organize, lead and direct large teams of people with sharp time management
  • Ability to analyze and compile large sets of data and present effective reports
  • Highly experienced with project coordinating and management of large teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other applicable post-graduate degree preferred
  • 7+ years’ experience in a leadership/management role
  • Proven leadership in consulting and operations in the supply chain field strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of management principles and evaluation techniques related to programs that involve multiple teams of staff and volunteers
